Michelle Obama may be busy globetrotting with her husband and her other famous friends, but she’ll always have time for her daughters, Malia and Sasha.

Take, for example, last weekend when Michelle took time out of her schedule to spend a long weekend in Miami Beach with her eldest daughter, Malia.

There, the mother-daughter duo dined at steakhouse Prime 112 with Tracy Mourning, founder of Honey Shine, an organization dedicated to empowering young women.

Of course they both looked incredibly stylish while heading out with friends. As Harper’s Bazaar broke down, Malia wore a printed romper from Urban Outfitters and paired it with plain white sneakers and a youthful ponytail. (You can get a similar one for $39.99.)

Meanwhile, Michelle rocked a dark gray tank and high-waisted, army green trousers with a sheer, navy cardigan to top it all off. She also wore her celebrity-approved oversized sunglasses, hoop earrings, and a a few matching, layered necklaces.

Beyond dining at Miami’s best restaurants, Malia and Michelle also took time to soak up the warm Florida weather at the area’s best beaches. According to Harper’s, Malia and Michelle went to the beach with Barack Obama’s former senior adviser, Valerie Jarrett, and several Secret Service agents.

And even at the beach the former White House residents looked flawless as Michelle wore an all-white everything outfit including a white button down, white bikini, and white cutoff shorts. Malia looked college-perfect in a tan hoodie and black bikini bottoms.

The trip may be just what the pair needed, since they're likely seeing less of each other now that Malia is a college freshman at Harvard. Michelle and Barack dropped their daughter off at the Cambridge, Massachusetts school, which is also Barack’s alma mater, in September. Then, the former president described dropping his daughter off as “a bit like open heart surgery.”

But hey, at least now they have even more reason to go on epic worldwide adventures together in their post-White House life.
