Meghan Markle's 'Suits' Character Is About to Get Married Too, and We Got a Sneak Peek (Video)
The world is finally getting another glimpse of Meghan Markle in a wedding dress thanks to the teaser video for next week’s season finale of Suits.
In the clip, Markle’s character Rachel Zane walks down the aisle to wed her fictional fiancé Mike Ross, played by Patrick Adams.
In the short clip, Mike can be seen waiting at the altar with best man Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht).
“I can’t believe it – this could really happen,” Rachel says. Then, in the next scene the pair are seen holding hands inside a church. Mike says, “I've wanted to marry you from the second I met you.” Rachel lovingly replies, “You are the husband I've always wanted. I love you, and always will.”
In the clip fans also get their first glimpse of Markle’s TV wedding dress, which appears to be a flowing, a-line, spaghetti-strap dress with just enough glitz and glitter to make her character, Rachel, truly stand out.
In a 2016 clip with Hello Canada, Markle gave fans a sneak peek at picking out Rachel’s wedding dress alongside Jessica Mulroney, marketing and fashion director of Kleinfeld Canada. In the video the pair go over several of Rachel’s options. And honestly, each and every one would look stunning on Markle for her big day.
The on-screen nuptials will air in a two-part episode, which will also mark the end of Markle’s acting career. Sadly, her run on television has to come to an end because on May 19 she will walk down the aisle in real life to wed Prince Harry at a lavish ceremony at St. George’s chapel inside Windsor Castle. She will then commit herself to being a full-time royal.
At the wedding, the bride and groom are expected to be joined by members of the royal family, including Prince William, Kate Middleton, and their two older children Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
Moreover, the pair will be joined by more than 2,000 members of the public, who have been hand-picked to join in the day’s festivities thanks to their contributions to their local communities. Hopefully everyone there (and those of us watching on TV) will get just as good a view of the dress she selects for her off-screen fairy tale moment, too.
