Kate Middleton and Prince William Just Stepped Out With the Royal Baby — See the Photos
Mere hours after giving birth, Kate Middleton stepped out of the Lindo Wing at St. Mary's Hospital with husband Prince William to present the third royal baby to the world.
The baby, a boy, was born at 11:01 a.m. Monday weighing 8 lbs. and 7 oz.
The baby's name has not yet been announced, though bookies would say he looks like an Arthur.
Before the new royal made his appearance, Prince George and Princess Charlotte were photographed entering the hospital to meet their new baby brother. The entire family showed up in matching baby blue. Princess Charlotte in particular seemed to be loving the crowd outside the hospital, as she waved to her adoring fans.
For her moment in the spotlight, Kate chose a cherry red dress with a white lace collar. The color combination is reportedly a nod to the baby being born on St. George's Day, the day England celebrates its patron saint.
It's also strikingly similar to the dress Princess Diana wore when she presented Prince Harry to the world in 1984.
While everyone was excited to get a glimpse of the newest addition to the royal family, Kate's picture-perfect appearance is what really had the internet in a frenzy. Of course, there are perks to being a royal mom: Kate's stylist, Natasha Archer, was seen visiting the hospital on Monday before the Duchess stepped out to show off her polished outfit and signature blowout.
After the appearance, the proud parents went back inside, put the new baby into a carrier, and re-emerged to drive home.
Kate, we just hope royal protocol allows you to change into sweatpants once you're behind closed doors again. You deserve it.
