Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, is typically the picture of poise and grace. As a leading member of the British royal family, she’s always impeccably dressed, well put together, and putting her best foot forward.

Except for on Wednesday, when she got that foot stuck in a grate.

While attending the opening of Action on Addiction's newest treatment center in Essex, the Duchess looked absolutely radiant in a bright blue coat by GOAT (which she can never take off). However, as she stepped in to shake hands with attendees, the most regal royal accidently stepped onto the grate below, causing her black stiletto heel to get stuck, Glamour reported.

The Duchess quickly realized her heel was wedged in there and, like a true pro, wiggled free without a fuss.

While the moment was surely silly it did somehow make her appear way more approachable than normal. Seeing this picture-perfect royal stumble a little and get her heel stuck in a grate gave Middleton a moment of humility.

According to People, Middleton was greeting Vice Lord Lieutenant of Essex Jonathan Douglas-Hughes when she snagged the heel. Oddly enough, it was Douglas-Hughes who famously fell in front of Duchess in 2016.

“I reminded her [about the fall],” Doughlas-Hughes told People. “My wife told her that she would ensure I didn’t do it again. Then she caught her heel. She said, Oh…do the same as you!’”

Hopefully Middleton will be able to continue to stand on her own two feet for the next several months, as she still has another two or three months to go in her pregnancy before welcoming her third child with Prince William. Though, now that the couple’s larger official travels are out of the way it looks like Middleton will have plenty of time to kick back and relax before the baby’s arrival.
