Now through June 30, you can nominate a frontline hero (including healthcare workers, service workers, and those who work in restaurant, takeout, and delivery services) to receive a five-day luxury vacation at the Karisma resort of their choice in Latin America or the Caribbean when it's safe to travel again. To nominate an essential worker, visit the contest page and share a short explanation of why this person deserves a vacation. (If you’re a frontline worker, you can even nominate yourself.) You can also nominate an essential worker by using the #HolidaysForYourHeroes hashtag on Instagram with your explanation.
In a statement provided to Travel + Leisure, Bill Linehan, the president of Premier Worldwide Marketing, the exclusive representatives for Karisma Hotels & Resorts, said, “From medical staff to truck drivers, delivery people and grocery workers, we are surrounded by heroes working day and night to care for us, so we want to give back to them in the way that we can – through the power of travel, which allows people to connect with each other and create wonderful lasting memories.”
Winners can choose from a number of luxury properties, including El Dorado Royale, a Spa Resort by Karisma in Mexico; Azul Beach Resort Negril in Jamaica; the family-friendly Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic; and the newly opened Margaritaville Island Reserve Riviera Cancun in Mexico. During their stay, guests will enjoy delicious food and drinks, a full-service concierge, water sports, live entertainment, spas, and programs for kids and teens.
Recipients will be selected in July, and they’ll receive a complimentary four-night, five-day stay for up to five family members (two adults and up to three children), which can be redeemed once travel restrictions are lifted. For the official contest rules, check out the full terms and conditions.
Karisma has supported their employees and communities since the start of the pandemic by protecting their entire full-time workforce and delivering food and supplies to local families. The company also recently released details for their new Karisma Peace of Mind program, which outlines the new health and safety protocols the resorts will be taking.
