When a little girl lost her beloved stuffed dog, Ruff Ruff, at a Virginia hotel, the staff there went above and beyond to reunite them — but not before the dog went on a few adventures first.

After Juniper left her stuffed animal at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Richmond - Midlothian during a stay last weekend, her mom, Allison Kuykendall, shared a Facebook post about their adorable reunion.

“As many of you know, she loves her “Ruff Ruff”. He goes everywhere she goes,” Kuykendall wrote, adding she called the hotel and “A few days later we get a package and much to her surprise Ruff Ruff was delivered safely back into her arms ... They sent her a personal letter with photos of all that Ruff Ruff did while he was away. Thank you, Doubletree by Hilton Richmond Midlothian!!”

As the photos show, Ruff Ruff helped answer phones and completed some very important work on the computer. He also found time to enjoy the hotel’s amenities, sunbathing himself by the pool and getting some rest, tucked into a comfy-looking bed. The photos were complete with some a gift basket of Doubletree’s famous cookies and some fruit, and the sweetest note.

“Thanks for letting us borrow Ruff Ruff for a day! He was such a big help around the hotel,” the hotel wrote. “Don’t worry, he didn’t work too hard and we gave him plenty of playtime! He’s missed you so much! Thanks again and hope you and Ruff Ruff visit us soon!”

This isn’t the first time this year a company has gone to great lengths to reunite a child with a lost doll. In February, Delta flew home a missing “Daddy Doll,” featuring a photo and audio recording of the girl’s deployed military dad.
