Archie loves the British Royals.

On May 19, like many other Brits, Archie will watch the royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Unlike most other Brits, Archie will be watching the wedding from his replica of Windsor Castle. Also, Archie is a dog.

Archie’s owner, Susan Crossland, won the lottery for $1.7 million (£1.2 million) in 2008. Because of her admiration for the royal family (and especially for royal weddings), Crossland commissioned a 6-foot replica of Windsor Castle for her 10-year-old Lhasa Apso.

The elaborate kennel took 244 hours to build and cost more than $7,000 (£5,000).

“I just thought it might be a bit quirky to have something nice for Archie so I had him a Windsor Castle made and he absolutely loves it,” Crossland told the BBC.

On the day of the wedding, Archie will don a tuxedo and top hat. This is a royal wedding, after all. Crossland will host a barbecue and Archie will preside over activities from Windsor Kennel. Archie can indulge in his doggy hot tub or bark royal decrees from his throne.

Archie’s kennel was inspired by the King George IV Gate at Windsor Castle. The royal couple will wed at St. George’s Chapel, where Harry was christened. The real Windsor Castle was built in the 11th century and is occupied by the Queen during most of her free weekends. It is billed as the world’s oldest and largest occupied castle.

After the wedding, Crossland plans to donate the Windsor replica “to a place where other people can enjoy it,” if Archie approves.
