Yes, Disney World was already the Happiest Place on Earth, but the Magic Kingdom's latest announcement somehow just made it even happier — at least for adults.
On Saturday, Disney World announced that three restaurants inside the Magic Kingdom will now be offering alcoholic beverages to guests 21 and over, meaning you can now drink at all sit-down restaurants in the park.
Disney added that the new drink offerings will be specially selected for each restaurant’s unique menu.
For example, The Plaza Restaurant will offer a selection of American beer and wine including “beverages such as a regional craft India Pale Ale which goes wonderfully with the Angus Chuck Cheeseburger.”
Meanwhile, The Crystal Palace will offer guests a selection of sparkling wine mimosas with breakfast, and wines such as “Pinot Noir and Chardonnay to pair selections such as pasta or shrimp from the lunch and dinner buffets.”

And finally, at The Diamond Horseshoe guests can dig into “frontier food favorites with classic American beers and wines like a traditional lager style beer or a robust Pinot Noir, which pair well with the plentiful platter of BBQ pulled pork, sliced turkey, country smoked sausage, or braised beef.”
This news is a major change for Disney. As People reported, the park had a strict no-alcohol policy dating back to its opening in 1971. And though guests can now sit back and sip on some adult beverages in Florida, they can’t in California as the no alcohol rule remains in place at Disneyland. Though, to be fair, adults can drink just across the street at its sister park, Disney California Adventure.
Still, maybe keep it to a one drink maximum before hopping on any roller coasters or stepping into a spinning teacup.
