The world is at a standstill. People all over the globe have been asked to stay home, shutter their doors, and put off long-awaited vacations for another day. Though that task can feel overwhelming, health experts say it’s what needs to be done to beat the coronavirus pandemic. But, that doesn’t mean you can’t have a little fun at home and indulge your wanderlust a bit. Just like this couple did with their in-home “cruise.”

In a new viral video posted to the Facebook Page, It’s Gone Viral, an older couple can be seen with their feet up against the television stand with an ocean scene playing out. (And, don’t think we missed those rolls of toilet paper around the television, which screamed “this is a luxury vacation, y’all.)

The video pans out to show the adorable couple sitting in their deck chairs, robes on, and drinks in-hand. The woman in the video is even sporting her coolest sunhat and sunglasses to boot.

Next, we hear the classic cruise airhorn blare as they toast to a staycation well done.

To date, the video has received more than 3.8 million views on Facebook, because, let’s face it, we all need a laugh right now.

“Really great,” one of the 19,000 comments read. “My heart goes out to all of you lovely people who had booked cruises. Let’s hope you can still go at a later date. We’ve been on three, every one totally different, on small ships, and have thoroughly enjoyed every one, and there are still some I would like to do at a later date.”

By the way, in case you were wondering, the couple appears to be watching this YouTube video titled, “Ocean View, Cruise Ship Balcony,” which plays for a little over an hour. Just in case you wanted to recreate the cruise at your home. If you need a little more simulation you can also visit virtual museums, national parks, zoos, and even watch MET operas from the comfort of your couch.
