Southwest Is Celebrating the First Day of Spring With $49 Flights
It's not too late to book your spring vacation.
Southwest Airlines is celebrating the first day of spring with a new airfare sale, this time offering flights for as little as $49 one-way.
“Spring is in the air,” the airline announced — even though they clearly haven’t checked the weather report. “Shouldn’t you be too?”
Fortunately, travelers can escape the lingering winter weather by booking one of the airline’s discounted routes.
The sale features $59 flights from Florida to either the Cayman Islands or the Turks and Caicos; $69 tickets to Belize; and $98 flights to Cancún, Mexico.
But travelers can also escape frigid temperatures in Chicago, where the airline has flights to Puerto Rico and Mexico for under $200.
From the New York City-area, there are flights on sale to Florida for less than $100 one-way.
To take advantage of this airfare sale, travelers must book their trips by March 29 at 11:59 p.m. (in the time zone of the departure city). Though availability varies by route, the Spring Sale is generally applicable for travel between April 10 and June 13, and again from August 21 to October 31.
