It’s becoming cheaper than ever to book a flight to Hawaii.
As airlines like Southwest launch new flights with lower prices, other airlines are forced to compete — with spectacular results for travelers who want to book a tropical getaway. Flights from the mainland to Hawaii have recently been spotted for as low as $280 round-trip. But even if you missed out on that sale, there are more cheap flights to be found.
American and Hawaiian Airlines are offering nonstop round-trip flights from Phoenix to Honolulu, starting at $407. Travelers can nab the deal by searching for flights in the middle of the week from January 16 through February 14.
New Yorkers can get in on Hawaii with round-trip flights from JFK to Maui starting at $605, with dates from mid-January through March. Travelers flying from Newark can get a round-trip flight to Honolulu with United starting at $607 through February. Expect to see more fares like this as United increases service to Hawaii.
And starting in May, travelers in Los Angeles will have a new nonstop route to Honolulu. Sun County is launching seasonal service from LAX to HNL, starting at $299 one-way. Seasonal service will run through August 19. The flight will operate four times per week.
