It’s not every day that flights to Africa go on sale, meaning you might want to rearrange all of your 2018 travel plans to include a bucket list trip to Morocco.

Yesterday, Scott’s Cheap Flights found deeply discounted tickets to Casablanca (a four-hour drive from the colorful, undiscovered village of Moulay Idriss) and Marrakesh starting at $453 — about half the cost of a standard ticket.

The best deals can be found from Atlanta, Detroit, and Minneapolis, though travelers in Seattle and Salt Lake City can also find flights under $500 round-trip.

Cheap flights to Morocco are also available from the East Coast, starting at $538 round-trip from the New York City area.

Travelers more interested in flying into Marrakesh (for lush gardens, luxe riads, and bustling medinas) can find $485 round-trip flights from Salt Lake City, with tickets under $500 from Atlanta, Cincinnati, and Detroit.

Availability varies depending on the origin city, but the inexpensive fares are generally for trips taken between March and April, and from September through December.

To find these tickets, you can search Google Flights to identify the most inexpensive departure and return dates for your home city. Scott’s Cheap Flights then recommends searching for even cheaper tickets on Momondo or Priceline.
