Get dressed in magical attire, roam through Diagon Alley, and meet the stars from the series at this three-day event.
If you’ve ever wondered what it would feel like to step into Harry Potter’s magical world, January just might be one of the best times to visit The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando, Florida.
During the Celebration of Harry Potter event, which takes place for three days from Jan. 26-28, visitors can see celebrities, costumes, sets, and behind-the-scenes looks from the books and movies in addition to Universal Orlando's typical Harry Potter attractions like Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade.
The event will feature panels with famed cast members like Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley), James Phelps (Fred Weasley), Oliver Phelps (George Weasley), and Stanislav Yanevski (Viktor Krum), where fans can learn what makes the music in the Harry Potter films so iconic and how the series’ elaborate set designs and costumes were constructed.
The Celebration of Harry Potter event will also include a scavenger hunt throughout the magical attractions, film screenings, and studio tours. Expo booths will offer the chance to snag limited-edition illustrated and boxed sets of the Harry Potter books and to challenge Potter knowledge and trivia games through Pottermore.
Some of the other entertainment options for the weekend include a behind-the-scenes look at the new “Harry Potter and The Cursed Child” set to debut on Broadway this spring and performances from the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra alongside memorable scenes from the Harry Potter films.
Two-park tickets start at $67 per day for a three-day pass for Florida residents, and at $92 per day for a three-day pass for those who aren't residents. Admission is also included for those with seasonal or annual passes.
