An estimated 51 million passengers will travel through American airports this holiday season. And, perhaps after hopeless delays, a drink at the airport bar and a few too many viewings of “Love Actually,” lonesome travelers may convince themselves that their soulmate is waiting just beyond the security checkpoint.

Those looking to maximize their chances of finding love in the airport terminal this holiday season will have better luck in certain airports.

Using its “Missed Connections” feature, determined the airports where single travelers are most likely to come across other singles in the coming weeks. The feature uses real-time location data to match users as they cross paths in real life.

Last year’s top airport in the nation for Missed Connections was Chicago O’Hare. Runners-up include Atlanta, Los Angeles and Denver.

Here's the full ranking in order of's Missed Connections from last year:

  1. Chicago O’Hare
  2. Atlanta
  3. Los Angeles
  4. Denver
  5. Dallas/Fort Worth
  6. Phoenix
  7. Newark

  9. San Francisco
  10. Boston
  11. New York LaGuardia
  12. Houston Bush
