If you’re traveling and away from your polling place on November 6, you still have the ability to cast your vote. Absentee ballots have a history of changing the vote — just look at George W. Bush’s 2000 election.

For those who are too busy (or lazy, no judgment!) to research their state’s deadlines, we’ve created a master list with all the information you need to get your ballot counted. Unless otherwise noted, deadlines for voter registration have passed. If you’re already registered for this year’s election, you’ll want to get a jump on your absentee ballot A.S.A.P.

Organizations like the Overseas Vote Foundation and the Federal Voting Assistance Program will help you with your application. Fill out the information online, print off the form, sign it and send it to your local election board. (You will have to pay postage if you’re sending from abroad.)

You can verify the deadlines to postmark your application with VoteFromAbroad.org.

Once you receive your ballot, check with Vote411 for which races you’re eligible to participate in, who is running and on which platforms.
