Terrazza Danieli
Few restaurants enjoy knock-out views like those of the Terrazza Danieli, styled by Jacques Garcia and perched on the rooftop of the venerable hotel. A huge outdoor terrace sits plum above the Riva degli Schiavoni, with 270-degree views of the entire waterfront and entrance to the Grand Canal. Even the city view tables inside overlook the Doge's Palace. The food doesn't disappoint, either—seasonal menus concentrate on fish and spices (following in the footsteps of Marco Polo), with dishes offering a twist on tradition, such as lobster risotto with chicken.
