Tryst, Las Vegas
All the drama one might expect from Steve Wynn is here: velvet walls, alligator-embossed leather booths, and a 95-foot waterfall cascading into a pool topped by a dance floor that cantilevers over the water. Though Tryst is cavernous, the generous use of velvet drapes, a diminutive all-red VIP area, and lounges that wrap around the semicircular lagoon make the place feel intimate. As in other clubs, the doormen discourage large groups of guys, so find a way to mix up your group. And dress up: a Hawaiian shirt and flip-flops might cut it most places along the Strip, but not here.
