La Favorita O’ Parrucchiano
Since it opened in 1868, this neighborhood favorite is on only its third generation of family management, which attests to its unwavering quality—and to the longevity of the locals. On Sorrento’s main drag, the hospitable restaurant is proud of its official status as a historic landmark, but that doesn’t mean there’s no room on its menu for a few piatti nuovi (new plates), such as shrimp-stuffed ravioli in a clam sauce. The Cannelloni Favorita, on the other hand—baked pasta crêpes stuffed with ricotta, mozzarella, and minced beef—has been a solid favorite for more than 135 years. Ignore the terraces of the indoor dining rooms as you enter; those are for groups. Seating is up the stairs, on a lush patio garlanded with vines and shaded by potted citrus trees.
