La Gazza Ladra
Returning home to his native Sicily after years abroad studying culinary arts, Accusio Craparo has earned a reputation as one of the island’s most exciting new chefs. The Michelin Guide even awarded his restaurant, La Gazza Ladra, a coveted star. Set inside the 19th-century Palazzo Failla building in Modica, his menu focuses on modern takes on traditional dishes like pigeon with liver pate; stewed grouper with shrimp salad; and ravioli stuffed with tomato, eggplant, basil, and sheep cheese. Dinners can eat either in the black-and-white, traditional dining room inside or out of the flower-laden courtyard.
