First opened in 1904 as a wine storage space, this itty-bitty, standing room only tavern has changed very little over the years and has become a treasured institution in town. Among the dozens of framed vintage photos, aging wall décor, and a dark wood countertop, residents from all over the city gather to sample authentic vino de naranja (orange wine) introduced here more than 40 years prior. Also recognized locally for the beloved late singer Pepe Peregil, father of the current owner, the bar offers limited outdoor tables and vino de fresas (strawberry wine).
