Chihuly Garden and Glass
Dale Chihuly is one of the Northwest's best-known artists, with his otherworldly glass sculptures gracing public buildings and private collections. In his own museum, Chihuly took glass art to a new level by creating a garden straight out of Alice in Wonderland—giant multicolored flowers and a greenhouse pavilion strung with glass buds. Inside, the artist's famous sea creatures glow from above, suspended from a domed glass ceiling, with additional works creatively lit inside all-black rooms. The artist is also a collector, as evidenced by the Pendleton blankets artfully draped in one area and the knickknacks arranged in the attached Collections Cafe.
