Hotel Valley Ho
A short walk from the shops and galleries on Main St. in Old Town Scottsdale, the Valley Ho is an architectural landmark mixing the muscular influence of Frank Lloyd Wright and Rat Pack era modernism. Built in 1956, the hotel had a devoted Hollywood following—Robert Wagner and Natalie Wood held their wedding reception here—but fell into neglect until a 2005 renovation brought back the luster. Now, a young, design-conscious crowd enjoys the classic cool of the two-story Hotel wing with mod furnishings and glass sliders that lead to patios and balconies overlooking the main pool. The Tower offers city and mountain views with two-story loft suites. Check out weekend Flow yoga sessions in the VH Spa or kick back in the Zuzu bar for tastings on Wine Wednesdays and Whiskey Thursdays.
