Jepson Center for the Arts
This striking modern building opened in 2006 and has 7,500 square feet of gallery space devoted to permanent contemporary collections and major touring exhibitions. The white marble, brick, and steel design gives it an incredibly bright, airy, and futuristic feel. Works owned by the museum include pieces by Jasper Johns, Chuck Close, Roy Lichtenstein, and Jeff Koons, and architecture tours of the Moshe Safdie–designed building are available. A fun part of the museum is the ArtZeum, an interactive gallery and creative studio for families.
