This lush 30-acre park is on the edge of Savannah’s downtown historic district. Originally laid out in the 1840s, it is now a destination for concerts and sports as well as everyday strolling and sunbathing. One of the most popular sights is the fountain at the north end—it is lit up at night and makes for a great photo opportunity. Various other historic monuments and sculptures pepper the park, but it’s a lovely spot to wander around and enjoy some tranquillity. The Saturday farmers’ market is also a big draw for locals and visitors alike.
