Savannah’s Candy Kitchen
The story of the Savannah Candy Kitchen is really the story of Stan “The Candy Man” Strickland, who grew up in Woodbine, Georgia. There, his mother worked in a candy factory making sweet treats from pecan pralines to peanut brittle. Back at home, she passed on her secrets and 30 years ago, Stan opened his first candy store in Savannah. The original store on River Street now spans some 4,400 square feet and has just about everything a sweet tooth could want, from pralines to chocolates and fudge—even gourmet popcorn. Gift tins and special packs designed for travel are available.
