Sandfly BBQ at the Streamliner
This converted railway car on Barnard Street in the Victorian District is a compact diner serving incredible barbecue. The downtown outpost of the suburban institution Sandfly, it delivers meaty goodness on par with its mother restaurant, despite its diminutive proportions. It can seat around 50 people, so come early or late (when locals line up for a bowl of the Brunswick stew). Sandfly delivers everything you’d expect—wings, brisket, pulled pork, smoked sausage—with absolute aplomb.
