Distillery Ale House
Craft-beer bars seem to be everywhere, but there’s a surprising dearth of them in and around Savannah. One exception is the family-owned Distillery Ale House, in a location that has housed a distillery since 1904 and a saloon since 1895. This craft-beer spot, which opened in 2008, has beautiful oak and mahogany bars as well as decorative artifacts dating back to the American Revolution that were unearthed during construction. Connoisseurs will appreciate the 20 or so rotating brews on tap and around 100 different bottles, all lovingly curated by a family of owners who have a true passion for brewing and the building’s history.
