Santa Fe Spirits
This distillery is only six years old, but it has already gained a reputation for its award-winning house spirits. In 2010, architect Colin Keegan and his wife Suzette bought a house that was situated on an apple orchard in Tesque, a farming community just outside of Santa Fe. Faced with an abundance of juice and cider, Keegan began making apple brandy for friends. Soon, his part-time hobby became a full-time business. The company makes seven handcrafted spirits—vodka, a gin, two whiskeys, two liqueurs, and the original apple brandy—which use local ingredients and are meant to capture the essence of the Southwest. Try a craft cocktail in one of two tasting rooms, located at the distillery and downtown, or take a tour and see how the spirits are made.
