Old Town San Diego State Historic Park
Take a step back in time in San Diego's historic Old Town district, a state park that re-creates life as it was in 1850s rancho California. Historic points of interest here include a theater, museum, galleries, restaurants, and old-timey shops, along with plenty of live entertainment. While this area can be a bit kitschy, it’s still a fun way to delve into a bit of southern California history. If you’re hungry, Café Coyote is your best bet—they've been serving up some of San Diego’s freshest tamales and homemade tortillas for years.
