Presidio Social Club
Housed in a 1903 military barrack, the Presidio Social Club restaurant combines original furnishings, such as stainless-steel medicine cabinets now used as liquor storage, with contemporary design elements. The airy space is adorned with dark leather booths, a white marble bar, and large windows framing views of the surrounding park and, on clear days, the Golden Gate Bridge. The menu, created by chef Ray Tang, features California-style comfort food, including east-west chicken noodle soup, flat iron steak frites, and rum-soaked challah French toast. The cocktail menu offers inventive options like the Gunpowder, a gin gimlet laced with cayenne.
