Locanda Don Serafino Hotel
Antonio and Giuseppe La Rosa’s restaurant Locanda Don Serafino was so popular that the two brothers opened a small 10-room hotel in a nearby 19th-century mansion to accommodate customers too full or tired to go home. Situated in the UNESCO protected old town, it appears even older, with exposed limestone vaults and arches reminiscent of medieval monasteries. Rooms are similarly decorated, although often whitewashed and furnished with antique armoires, dolomite bathroom fittings, and white sofas and beds. Guests naturally tend towards the restaurant for renowned Sicilian dishes like lasagnette with plain cocoa and ricotta cheese.
