Hotel Clarendon
First opened in 1870, the hotel is built around a central courtyard—rooms, with antique furnishings, either overlook the courtyard or have views of the historic city. Breakfast is excellent at the hotel, with a memorable selection ranging from fresh fruit and French toast to Montreal bagels (a specialty in the province). The restaurant also serves lunch and dinner, focusing on local flavors like the deer flank steak served with a blueberry ice wine sauce. The Art Deco jazz bar is world-class, and has attracted industry names like Diana Krall, Vic Vogel, and John Zorn.
