Take a tour ($12) at the Caicos Conch Farm to learn about the island’s most popular protein—one that’s overfarmed in most parts of the world. In fact, the Turks and Caicos and the Bahamas are two of the last places where you can legally fish for conch. At the working farm and research facility, you’ll meet the two main breeder conchs, Sally and Jerry, who will slither out of their shells with a bit of nudging from their handler. There’s a small gift shop out front that sells painted shells, and all proceeds go back into the farm itself.
