Tommy Habetz and Nick Wood debuted their humble, market-driven sandwich shop in Southeast Portland in late 2008 and spawned a downtown location in mid-2011. The co-chefs change their blackboard menu daily, but there are some standbys like the Italian cured meat sandwich. They also showcase caramelized pork belly in such dishes as the Vietnamese banh mi or gourmet Cubano. Bunk allows customers to add bacon, anchovies, and/or hot peppers to any sandwich, and every choice comes with kettle chips. The shop also sells soups, sides, Stumptown coffee, and two sweets: cupcakes and pie.
