Mambocafé

This chain of massive nightclubs, with outposts across Mexico and in Dallas, promises el nuevo ritmo tropical, "the new tropical rhythm." The name refers to a style of music that has roots in Havana, and Mambocafé’s rainbow-framed stage welcomes musicians popular throughout Latin America and the Caribbean, from Colombia and Venezuela to Cuban and the Dominican Republic. The beat-driven music typically doesn't start pumping until around 10 p.m., from Wednesday through Saturday, and once it starts, the energetic club-goers don’t stop dancing under the plugged-in, ceiling-mounted “stars” until early morning.
