The Pretzel Shop
Since 1927, this Pittsburgh institution has been turning out chewy, warm, salty pretzels on the city’s South Side. They are hand-twisted, as they’ve always been, and baked in the property’s original 1872 brick oven. Pretzels are sort of an iconic Pittsburgh snack. At the Pretzel Shop, the staff raises the bar a little, offering specialty pretzels like slider buns and sweet, savory, and holiday-themed confections. The menu is also peppered with items like pretzel sandwiches, pizza pretzels, and a small list of soups and salads.
