Omni William Penn
Industrialist Henry Clay Frick’s fortune built this 100-year-old historic hotel in downtown Pittsburgh. The massive 597-room property retains its old-world charm—especially in the lobby—with giant mahogany arches, historic murals, and molded plaster ceilings. The lobby is a great place to have a drink, as are the hotel’s casual tap room and basement speakeasy, which opens after 5 p.m. and serves excellent fancy cocktails. Rooms and suites are decked in rich cherry furniture and most have views of downtown and the surrounding business district.
