8 Rue du Cherche-Midi, Paris, 75006, France

The establishment of an aspiring baker from Normandy has flourished in the Latin Quarter since 1932. Wanting to perfect the art of Sourdough bread making, the Poilâne family has become a favorite over the years for their signature loaves, thanks to the three generations behind this namesake boulangerie. Currently owned and operated by the granddaughter of the store's founder, the bakery specializes in loaves adorned with edible leaf and flower designs. Other goodies such as apple tarts and butter cookies are also best sellers, not to mention the famous Poilâne loaf (wood-fired sourdough bread).
