These canyons were once the home to the forerunners of the Agua Caliente Cahuilla Native Americans. Now they are open for exploration and appreciation of their natural beauty, including the Palm, Murray, Andreas, and Tahquitz Canyons. The California Fan Palm thrives in fifteen-mile Palm Canyon, Andreas Creek runs through the canyon of the same name, and Murray Canyon is home to endangered animals, including the bird called the Least Bells Vireo. At the end of Tahquitz’s two-mile path, hikers find Tahquitz Falls. Admission varies by canyon.
