College Hotel Restaurant
Located inside The College Hotel, this restaurant, headed by Dutch native Chef Wilko Hoogendoorn, mixes international food with Dutch cuisine. The space that houses the restaurant is unique: it lived its former life as a 19th-century high school gymnasium. Now, the design emphasizes the open kitchen and circular tables covered with white tablecloths, surrounded by comfortable armchair-like seating. Square windows—throwbacks from the room’s former purpose—stream light into the open space. Menu items include floating steak tartar with soft-boiled quail egg, sautéed scallops with crispy chicken skin and carrot puree, and roasted guinea fowl with confit potatoes and pistachio caramel.
