Windsor Castle Pub
There’s simply no way to re-create an interior that exudes the convivial, gently timeworn atmosphere of this gem, built in 1835, which has remained virtually untouched for almost two centuries. Dark oak booths, partitions, paneling, and deeply inset tables complement copper kettles and rustic jugs hanging from the ceiling. The cozy atmosphere warms during winter, and the large, shady ivy-covered beer garden invites relaxing with a Pimm’s Cup during warm-weather months. No wonder it’s Madonna’s favorite “boozer.”
Insider Tip: Wine enthusiasts will find plenty of offerings by the glass; and outdoor heat lamps extend the garden season.
