Founded by Mark Pastore and his wife, Nonna, after an inspiring trip to Florence, Incanto serves handcrafted Italian cuisine in San Francisco's Noe Valley. Pieces of colorful artwork, including enlarged photographs of plants, stand out amidst the textured walls, wood tables, and white arches. The every-changing menu includes fresh, high-quality ingredients from local farms and ranches, and each meal begins with complimentary sparkling water that's chilled and carbonated on-site. Previous dishes have included handkerchief pasta and rustic pork ragù with duck fat-roasted cauliflower, chili, capers, and mint. Incanto also offers more than 30 wines by the glass, 95% of which are from Italy and include lesser known regions such as Puglia, Valle d'Aosta, and Sardinia. Each glass is served with a small tag that includes its name, producer, and vintage.
