Off the beaten path

For a glimpse at Gilded Age New York, a visit to financier and avid art collector J.P. Morgan's office and library can't be beat. The luxurious library is a bibliophile's dream and the collection includes many medieval and Renaissance works. An expansion was completed by Renzo Piano, adding more space for rotating exhibits, many of which are book-themed.
