Housed in an abandoned Romanesque Revival former public school building, this museum was originally founded as an alternative arts organization, but became an extension of the Museum of Modern Art in 2000. Today it features the work of innovative contemporary artists, both emerging and established. During a visit, stop in to M. Wells Dinette, the onsite, cafeteria-inspired cafe from Hugue Dufour and Sarah Obraitis for a meal of eclectic and rustic French-inflected fare.
