Touted as a modern-day speakeasy, Blue Owl is housed inside a basement on Second Avenue in New York City. The bar is composed of two small rooms, and the space is highlighted by exposed walls, plush banquettes, and pressed tin-accented tables. Charles Hardwick, formerly of Odeon and Mercer Kitchen, serves as bar manager and is the craftsman behind the cocktails at Blue Owl. Selections include the signature Blue Owl, a gin martini with maraschino liqueur, and the Sea Smoke Cocktail, made with tequila and watermelon rosemary syrup. Olives, charcuterie, or cheeses accompany each cocktail.
