Eleven Madison Park
Never content to rest on its laurels (which include three Michelin stars and the title of "Best Restaurant in North America"), Eleven Madison Park now employs a dedicated team of "dreamweavers," whose only job is to exceed diners' high expectations. These wizards personalize meals with extra-special touches, such as an off-menu course of your favorite comfort food served in the kitchen after a tour, or maybe a small watercolor portrait of a couple celebrating their anniversary. The prix fixe menu takes several hours to complete and will set you back $295, gratuity included—perhaps a fair price for such impeccable service and jaw-droppingly-good food, all in the city's most dramatic Art Deco dining room. The restaurant will close for renovations through the summer of 2017, but loyal fans can trek a few hours east to the restaurant's Hamptons pop-up, EMP Summer House.
