Chef's Table at Brooklyn Fare
This three-Michelin-starred restaurant is hard to find: it's a chef's counter hidden inside a supermarket. But those who make the trip are rewarded with chef César Ramirez's impeccable tasting menu. The menu, which changes daily and has a seafood and Japanese focus, costs $330 per person. Make sure to book in advance, and note that the restaurant only takes reservations for groups of two or four. Start with a glass of champagne—the wine list is lovely—and ask the sommelier to recommend a well-priced bottle to go with the meal. And you have no choice but to pay full attention to the wonderful, immersive meal—photos are not allowed here.
