Café Rue Dix
At this charming neighborhood cafe, diners are treated to an eclectic mix of French-Senegalese fare. Menu favorites include yassa guinar, a spicy, sweet-tart chicken stew made with caramelized onions; Scotch bonnet chiles; and duck leg confit served over a bed of green lentils. Go on Wednesday nights for a very reasonably priced three-course prix fixe, or stop by in the morning for an omelette filled with ratatouille and goat cheese, accompanied by a steaming mug of strong coffee. Next door, the owners have opened Marche Rue Dix, a curated shop stocked with vintage and locally designed clothing, home goods, and gifts.
