Mansfield Hotel
Built in 1903, the Mansfield Hotel is located just a few blocks from Times Square and was the home of reputed Great Gatsby inspiration Max von Gerlach. The 2006 renovation retained the old elegance but replaced the old rabbit-eared TVs and alarm clocks with flat screen televisions, iPod docking stations, free Wi-Fi, Aveda toiletries and a laptop safe. The fitness center is also new and includes state-of-the-art treadmills, elipticals, bicyles and a loft for yoga and meditation. Like a gentleman’s study, the M Bar is outfitted with mahogany shelves, leather-bound books, and Beaux Arts lighting under a glass dome.
