Saturn Bar
This idiosyncratic bar may have lost its iconic jukebox to Hurricane Katrina in 2005, but not any of its packrat personality. Founded in 1960, there’s more than a half-century’s worth of memorabilia, original artwork and neon signs plastered over its eclectic walls—including several pieces by acclaimed New Orleans folk artist Michael Frolich. The Saturn Bar (pronounced Sa-Turn) attracts a clientele not too particular about the nuances of a cocktail. Here, it’s a beer and a shot that wins friends.
